This month’s cake caught my eye for two reasons. The first is the chef’s willingness to go the extra mile and include a wedge of watermelon with the finished design. The chef could have just created a round cake with watermelon-themed icing, but they took it a step further, and I respect that. The second detail about this cake that caught my eye was the use of raisins to represent seeds. That’s a nice touch!
