The great poet William Smith once wrote “Summer, summer, summertime. Time to sit back and unwind.” He was right, of course. Today marks the first official day of summer, and I’m definitely ready to sit back and get unwound.
This will be my first full summer with our new baby girl, and Mommy and I are looking forward to doing all sorts of fun summertime things with her, including celebrating her first birthday in late August. Now that she’s finally eating solid food, I’m also looking forward to giving her a taste of watermelon for the first time.
Her mommy keeps close tabs on which foods we’re introducing during which months (it’s an incredibly detailed process). I’m not sure where watermelon fits in that schedule, but I hope soon!
