The National Watermelon Promotion Board works pretty hard to do exactly what their name says. That includes getting the good word out about watermelon so more people buy it and enjoy it, but they also do a lot of stuff to help the hundreds of watermelon growers, shippers and importers who rely on the board to promote the fruits of their labor.
For example, at the upcoming National Watermelon Association convention, the Board will be presenting a seminar designed to help industry professionals understand the media, tell their company story and manage their media message during a crisis. In other words, it’s a “can’t miss” session if you happen to be at the convention!
Feel free to read more about the seminar on the NWPB website. If I were going to the convention (I’m still waiting for my invitation), I’d be in the front row taking notes and asking questions. Yeah, I’m kind of a nerd like that.
