Wally Amos is best known for his world famous line of “Famous Amos” cookies, but he’s also an outspoken lover of watermelon. He’s often seen wearing watermelon printed clothes and he’s approached the National Watermelon Promotion Board about helping to get the word out about the joys of watermelon. In addition to being a successful entrepreneur (and a full-time resident of Hawaii), Wally has found time to write 13 books. Many of them are inspirational self-help books, including one titled “Watermelon Magic: Seeds of Wisdom, Slices of Life.” The book uses watermelon as a metaphor for life.
